Mervin Ward preaching at Mocho (the oldest Church of Christ on the island) - wife Vena and two daughters.

Ed and Sharon Werner

Ed and Sharon Werner were the primary link between Christians in the United States and several Churches of Christ in Jamaica for 23 years. Ed passed from this life Oct. 5, 2015 at 76 years of age. Dan & Joanna Smith have taken the responsibility of overseeing the Jamaican Evangelism ministry. Jamaican Evangelism's purpose is to train native men to preach and then help with their support. Dan and Joanna have made a number of working trips to the Island and serve as forwarding agent for funds designated for these preachers. The principal language is English, so the usual language barrier is not present- perhaps just an accent hurdle to cross with a mix of British English and Patois (African slang.)

You can help...

These families need our prayers. They also need people to partner with them through financial support. They are working tirelessly, in the midst of tough economic and social times, to minister to their communities in the name of Jesus. Let them know you are praying for them. Support them financially if you can. No prayer is unimportant and no gift is too large or too small. If you are able to assist in any way, you may contact us at:
